
Peter Coyote – Narrator
Peter Coyote has performed as an actor for some of the world’s most distinguished filmmakers, including: Barry Levinson, Roman Polanski, Pedro Almodovar, Steven Spielberg, Walter Hill, Martin Ritt, Steven Soderberg, Diane Kurys, Sydney Pollack and Jean Paul Rappeneau. Mr. Coyote has written a memoir of the 1960’s counter-culture called Sleeping Where I Fall which received universally excellent reviews, appeared on three best-seller lists, sold five printings in hardback and is in its second printing in paperback. A chapter from that book,Carla’s Story, won the 1993/94 Pushcart Prize for Excellence in non-fiction.
From 1975 to 1983 he was a member and then Chairman of the California State Arts Council. During his Chairmanship, expenditures on the arts increased from 1 to 16 million dollars annually. He has been a practicing Buddhist for 30 years, is ordained in that religion, and socially engaged in political and social causes since his early teens.
Wayne Chesler – Writer/Producer/Director
From 2001 – 2007, Chesler served as an Executive Producer and Writer/Producer on the ten-hour series Rites of Autumn: The Story of College Football, wrote, produced & directed “The Numbers Racket” for The History Channel and produced The Ten Greatest College Coaches for CBS. His company, Bink Films, completed production on the documentary Paddy Whacked: The Irish Mob for The History Channel and wrote the screenplays for Stars of David, and King of The Night - The Johnny Carson Story.
From 1997 - 2001, Chesler wrote, produced and directed CBS’ Emmy-nominated series, The Sports Illustrated for Kids Show and co-produced The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Show for TBS. Other production credits include work at CBS at The Winter Olympic Games in Nagano, Japan and co-producing New Line Television’s Perimeter Game, CBA Stories. Chesler served as Creative Director for ABC and produced HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel which earned him an Emmy Award. Wayne was also part of the Emmy winning team of producers for Sports Century.
Louis Cimino - Writer/Producer
In 1987, Louis Peter Cimino was a quarter finalist in the prestigious Eugene O’Neill National Theater Conference for his first stage play, Fragging, which was produced at the New Playwrights Foundation Theater in Los Angeles.
Louis began study in the Master of Professional Writing Program at University of Southern California where he adapted his politically charged, medically based stage play Cut, Poison, and Burn into a screenplay. The play was produced at the Mary Archie Theater in 1996 and the Sacred Fools Theater in Los Angeles in 2000. Louis went on to complete the program, receiving his Master’s Degree in Professional Writing in 2003 as class valedictorian with one of the highest scores in the history of the program, earning him a place in the national honor society Phi Kappa Phi.
Louis also wrote a screenplay, ChequeMate as his Master’s thesis. He then wrote a screenplay My 15 Minutes of Fame about a frustrated art dealer trying to get the ultimate Warhol, and The Water Garden, his homage to the animal kingdom.
Most recently, Louis formed Legend Productions to produce the documentary Cut Poison Burn. the scathing expose of the American Medical industry, and plans to produce five films in its slate. The documentary made its World Premiere at the 2010 Mill Valley Film Festival.
Robert Michaan – Executive Producer
Robert Michaan was a retired charter boat captain, and prior to his recent death from cancer he was living in the San Juan Islands of Washington State.
Captain Michaan recently completed his film, Greed, a documentary film by Burton Goldberg outlining federal trespasses against the American people committed by several federal agencies, including the USDA, FDA, and the National Cancer Institute.
Robert Michaan has written the non-partisan book Common Sense: The People’s Amendment to share his beliefs and ideals in support of the changes needed to recreate the legal and financial institutions of the United States of America. He produced Cut Poison Burn, to expose the excesses of the cancer industry.
Charlie Sadoff – Writer/Co-Producer/Editor
Charlie Sadoff is the founder and president of Mighty Pictures, Inc. located in New York City. His 20-year career as a writer, producer and editor has been met with both critical acclaim and the industry’s highest awards.
In 2000, Charlie was a writer, producer and editor of the 10-hour documentary The Rites of Autumn, The Story of College Football which aired on ESPN and was released by Lions Gate. Since then he has produced several documentaries for The History Channel, ESPN and CBS among others.
In 2009 Charlie completed the feature documentary Dream Riders, which premiered at the Sheffield Film Festival, won the Audience Award at The International Family Film Festival and subsequently aired on the Travel Channel on Father’s Day 2009.
Charlie recently produced the feature doc Running America for Nehst Studios and co-produced as well as supervised the edit of The Harvest, an award winning feature length documentary about American child migrant workers from Executive Producer Eva Longoria and Academy Award nominees Shine Global, which is being released theatrically nationwide by Cinema Libre and will air on the Discovery Channel in late 2011.
Charlie is also recognized as one of the outstanding producers and editors of documentary feature film trailers, including Academy Award nominees The Betrayal and War Dance. He has been nominated for 8 Golden Trailer Awards and won a 2010 Golden Trailer for his work on The Life and Mind of Mark DeFriest.
